A Stairway

The way to success, is a way with no end, it is like an endless stairway, every while you reach a goal, you hope and struggle to reach the order, and every time you are a greater one than before.

The story begins in 2006; it was the 1st Step for the leading student activity which was known as STEP (Steps Towards Engineering Progress), on the stairway to the success.

This activity was leaded by students and funded by several organizations. All members struggled to accomplish their objective and their vision. By the end of the closing ceremony, STEP was awarded the prize of the best student activity in Cairo University in this year.

The journey on the long stairway hasn't ended. In 2007, it was just the beginning. STEP has changed its name to STP (Steps Towards Progress), as the vision of the activity become wider and not aiming only the engineering progress but the community development. STP was nominated to be the best student activity in the Festive Centennial of Cairo University. STP also participated in the International Youth Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh.

STP innovated the Juniors project, to target the development of Egyptian secondary school students. Despite of the difficulties that faced STP, STP succeeded to publish its 1st issue of STPANZA magazine in more than 100 different places in Cairo.

STP has stabilized its activities not to let anything go out of control.

In 2008, there was an increasing number of members and participants, STP had expanded its workshops, there was an engineering program and non-engineering program, and the Juniors project had been expanded to target more schools in Egypt. STP succeeded to publish STPANZA issue 2 in more than 200 places in Cairo.
